How do I change my system battery?
My system is reported a low battery.
Some systems are equipped with external backup batteries that customers can replace independently; however, for other systems, we advise against attempting battery replacement. Please see the information below for further details:
Should your system indicate a low battery, please contact us at any time for troubleshooting assistance or to arrange for a technician to perform a replacement if necessary.
Certain systems allow you to replace the battery yourself. In such instances, we will provide you with the battery. Simply remove the red and black leads from the old battery and attach the red and black leads to the new one. The leads and battery are color-coded to ensure correct installation.
The above images are of a 5amp System Battery. Compatible with most DSC, GE Concord, and Caddx systems. (Please consult a service representative if unsure if you can change on your own)
If your system is showing a low battery, always reach out to us first because tampering with the equipment can void your warranty.
