How do I create a recording rule for my camera?

Set Up Camera Motion Recording

To create a recording rule for your camera using the mySafetouch app, follow these steps:

  1. Open your mySafetouch app
  2. Click on Video.
  3. Click on the cogwheel⚙️in the top right corner
  4. Click on Recording Rules.
  5. Click on "Add" in the top right corner.
  6. Select the type of rule you want to create based on your camera model (e.g., Motion Detection, Video Analytics).
  7. Select the Camera.
  8. Enter a name for your recording rule.
  9. Configure the rule settings according to your preferences. These settings will depend on the type of rule you are creating.
  10. If you want to receive notifications, click "Add" under Video Clip Recipients.
  11. Select the entries from your Address Book to be notified, or click "New" to add a new entry.
  12. Choose the type of notification you prefer (Text Only, Attach a Video Clip, or Attach a Thumbnail).
  13. Verify that the recording rule is configured with the desired settings.
  14. Click "Save Rule" to finish.

 

To view, edit, or delete recording rules using the mySafetouch app:
  1. Log in to the Customer app.
  2. Tap Video.
  3. Tap Configure.
  4. Tap Recording Rules.
  5. Tap Edit to edit the rule or Delete to delete the rule.

To view, edit, or delete recording rules using the Customer website:
  1. Log in to the Customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Recording Rules.
  4. Click Edit to edit the rule or Delete to delete the rule.
