mySafetouch Mobile App User Guide

Welcome to mySafetouch! This guide will walk you through using the app to monitor and manage your security system.

Getting Started

1. Download and Install the App

  • Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

  • Search for mySafetouch.

  • Tap Download and install the app.

  • Open the app once installed.

2. Log In

  • Open the mySafetouch app.

  • Enter your registered username and password.

  • Tap Sign In

  • If you do not have your login information, contact your sales rep or customer service.

Selecting Keep me logged in will prevent you from having to login each time you open the app.

 

Navigating the mySafetouch App

1. Dashboard Overview

  • After logging in, you'll see the Dashboard, which provides real-time security status.

  • View system alerts, sensor activity, and automation controls.

2. Arming & Disarming Your Security System

  • Tap Security System on the dashboard.

  • Select Arm Stay (for when you're home) or Arm Away (for when you're leaving).

  • To disarm, simply tap Disarm (Green Shield).

3. Viewing Live Camera Feeds

Most cameras are viewable on the app's home screen. You'll just need to scroll down

  • Choose a camera to view its live feed.

  • Swipe to switch between cameras.

  • Use zoom or full-screen options for a better view.

4. Accessing & Managing Recording Rules

  • Tap the Settings (⚙️) icon in the top right corner.

  • Choose Recording Rules.

  • Select a recording rule to edit or tap Add Rule to create a new one.

  • Configure motion detection, scheduled recordings, or event-based triggers.

5. Viewing 24/7 Timeline (If applicable)

NOTE: You will not be able to download footage from the 24/7 Timeline from the mySafetouch app. Footage from this timeline can only be downloaded from a computer. 

  • Tap Video
  • Look for the camera with the red dot symbol in the top right of the camera's window.                                                 
  • Once selected, you'll be able to watch a current feed or go back and view footage previously recorded.                              
  • Tap  (Today) to pull up the calendar and select the date of the event.
  • The Calendar will appear. Find the date and time in question and select the approximate time. Tap out of the calendar to be taken to this date and start time.        
  • Use the red bar   to toggle back and forth if needed and press play.
  • Any event driven clips recorded during the selected time frame will also appear and the bottom. If you expand an image, you'll see events that occurred around that time 

6. Managing Users

  • Tap More (☰).

  • Tap Users.

  • Tap the + to add new users,  their details.

  • Assign access levels (Admin, Standard User, Limited Access).

  • Save changes to grant access.

7. Controlling Smart Home Devices

  • Tap More (☰).

  • Select Automation.

  • Access and control lights, locks, thermostats, and other connected devices.

  • Tap Add Rule to set up automated actions.

8. Configuring Notifications & Alerts

  • Tap More (☰).

  • Select Notifications.

  • Enable alerts for security breaches, camera activity, and device status.

  • Choose push notifications, email, or SMS alerts.

 

Troubleshooting & Support

1. Forgot Your Password?

  • On the login screen, tap Forgot Password.

  • Enter your email and follow the reset instructions.

2. Connection Issues

  • Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or has a stable mobile data connection.

  • Restart the app or reboot your phone.

  • If problems persist, contact Safetouch Customer Support.

3. System Errors

  • Check for error codes in the app.

  • Tap Help & Support for troubleshooting steps.

  • If needed, call technical support for assistance.
